If someone wished to bear witness to Skateboarding, the Aesthetics and Form and Flair and True Art of it, there are few video parts one could point to and say, unequivocally, that that is skateboarding; that is what makes grown men fall in love with children’s toys, what causes 50 year olds covered in faded tattoos and faded scars,with brains addled by years of beers and speed, to drag their carcasses to a hot cement slab in the dead heat of summer, and why it is that they look, while the wheels are rolling, so fucking alive.
